Deposit and cancellation policies: Payment schedule - after deposits are paid additional charges will be made to the same credit card used for deposit on the due dates unless you advise otherwise prior to the due date:

1st payment 25% of trip cost including registration fees at time of booking

2nd payment 30% of trip cost September 29 – will be charged automatically to card on file on due date

Balance of trip cost November 23 – will be automatically charged to card on file on due date

Cancellation Policy: All payments (including lodging) are non-refundable, but transferable until dates as specified below. All cancellation or transfer requests need to be emailed to dana.flach@ski.com to be valid

Registration fees are, in general, non-refundable when:

  1. The individual cancels, regardless of the reason;
  2. The event is cancelled due to conditions or circumstances beyond the control of the Region;
  3. The Region is forced to make a last-minute change due to extenuating circumstances, unless there is a change in the event dates. Under these circumstances, an individual who is forced to cancel will be charged a prorated share of the total cost of the event and will be refunded that portion which would be considered reasonable by the Board.

Transferability of Payments and Name Changes* Clubs will be permitted to register members as Mickey or Minnie Mouse one through infinity up to the day when names are required by the registration committee. Prior to that day, registration fees shall be 100% transferable. This means that even though a name list has been submitted, wholesale changes can be made, if needed, at no penalty to the club. Once the date for submission of names has passed (currently November 29), there will be no substitutions allowed.

Travel Insurance: Travel is a perishable product. We highly recommend that participants purchase Travel Insurance to cover their investment. Standard Travel Insurance is 6.5% of trip cost and can be purchased up to final payment. Premium/Cancel for Any Reason Insurance is 11.5% of trip cost and must be purchased with first deposit. Individuals will be responsible for submitting claims directly to insurance company. Insurance will be an option to purchase or decline at check out before finalizing your registration. The CST Act is a series of laws, which first took effect in 1995, that provide certain protections to consumers who purchase sea or air transportation either singly or in conjunction with other travel services, like hotel rooms and car rentals. The Act applies to all purchases made from sellers who are located in California. One of the purposes of registration is to have sufficient information about both reputable and crooked sellers to be able to locate them should anything go wrong. All sellers who receive a payment from one passenger may not use that money to buy travel on behalf of another passenger or to pay for rent, overhead, or any personal use, until such time as it has delivered to you the goods and services that you have purchased.

RESPONSIBILITY Trip cancellation, accident and baggage insurance are available and Ski.com strongly recommends that each participant obtain them. Ski.com is acting solely as an agent for the group in obtaining transportation, lodging and other services, and assumes no liability for any injury, damage, loss, delay or inconvenience caused by any act or omission of these independent suppliers. The payment of the required deposit or any partial or full payment hereunder shall constitute consent and agreement to the provisions herein. SKI.com, Ski.com Groups, its agents, servants and employees shall not be responsible for personal injuries or property damage, loss or delay, or change of itinerary incurred by any person or tour participant arising out of the act of negligence of any direct or supplemental air carrier, hotel or other persons rendering any of these services, or accommodations offered in these tours; nor shall SKI.com be responsible for any injuries, death, damage, loss or delay in any means of the transportation or by reason of any event beyond the actual control of SKI.com Groups, or of any agent or supplier or due to force majeure. SKI.com Groups reserves the right to decline or accept or to retain any person as a member of a trip, or to cancel a trip. Tour participants shall ski at their own risk. Tour participants acknowledge that they are aware of the fact that skiing and other activities in which they may elect to participate while on the tour involve inherent risks and danger of injury or death. Tour participants shall participate in such activities at their own risk and indemnify and hold SKI.com/Ski.com Groups/Copper Mountain, their employees and agents harmless in the event of injury or death. If the contract between SKI.com Groups and the participant and/or the contract between SKI.com Groups and the air carrier or vendor is cancelled for any reason whatsoever, all partial or full payments made for the trip will be refunded less any costs unrecoverable by Ski.com Groups from the vendors, without further obligation of the part of SKI.com Groups/SKI.com Groups may substitute hotels for other hotels of similar category or change schedules should the circumstance so demand. If time permits, SKI.com Groups will provide notification of any such changes. In the event of a change in the itinerary necessitated by factors or conditions beyond the control of SKI.com Groups, no refund can be made nor will credit be allowed, provided that, in the event of such change in itinerary, SKI.com Groups shall provide accommodations and services of comparable quality and standards. Any such change shall not modify the cancellation provisions herein. No credit will be allowed or refund provided for any services provided in the Itinerary and Conditions List should any such services not be utilized by tour members. Availability of refunds for air transportation included in a tour and additional transportation costs for a person who does not utilize the air transportation part of a tour will vary with the type of transportation, and the point at which transportation is not used.

The Western Region of the National Brotherhood of Skiers (WR) acts only as an agent for the various transportation, lodging and companies whose services are used. WR assumes no responsibility or liability in connection with the service of any train, vessel, carriage, aircraft, motor coach or other conveyance, any hotel, lodging facility or other supplier of services, which may be used either wholly or in part, in the performance of its duties to the passenger, lodger, or event participant. WR will not be responsible for an act, error, or omission or for any personal injury, damage, loss, accident, delay, irregularity or inconvenience which may be occasioned by reason of any default of any company or person engaged in conveying the passenger, or for any lodging proprietor, or lodging service, or for any other person engaged in carrying out the purpose for which tickets or vouchers are issued, whether negligent or not.

In the event it becomes necessary or advisable for the comfort or well-being of the passengers, or for any other reason whatsoever, to alter the itinerary or arrangements, such alterations may be made without penalty to the Region. The Region shall assume no liability for any cancellation fee or other charges assessed the individual as a result of a cancellation, postponement or change in location.

WR reserves the right to cancel, change or postpone any tour should conditions warrant, also may decline to accept or retain passengers or participants as members of the tours. In such instance, an equitable amount will be refunded.

Neither the WR nor its affiliate clubs are to be held responsible for lack of snow or non-operation of lifts are the ski resort(s), or closure of access routes to or from resorts beyond their control; nor are they to be held liable for payment of any refunds for unused accommodations, transportation or other services.

Tour participants engaging in sports activities do so at their own risk. By the act of joining any NBS tour, tour participants relinquish any and all rights whatsoever to make any claim for damages or for injuries that may be sustained while engaging in these specific activities."
